To install the Viewer you'll have to go to the download page first which can be found in the sidebar menu on the right of this blog, it is labeled as "Download Black Dragon". You will be redirected to the Bitbucket 'Downloads' section where you can also grab the source code of the Viewer if you are a developer or a more-than-normal user and the latest release and only the latest release.
After you downloaded the WinRar executable usually labeled as 'Viewername.Versionnumber.exe' ( EXAMPLE: BlackDragon126.96.36.199.exe ) you double click the executable to start the WinRar executable, it will ask you for a destination folder ( DEFAULT: C:/Program Files 86x/Black Dragon ), change this to where you want to unpack the Viewer files and the unpacker should take care of the rest including creating a shortcut on your desktop. Note that this is no a normal installation setup like other Viewers or applications use, this is a fancied up WinRar zip which allows you to select the destination folder and create a shortcut for you. After unpacking the Viewer should be ready to be started with the just created desktop shortcut or by browsing into the installation folder and starting it from there directly.
The reason i chose WinRar over the usual installation setup is to allow users to inspect the contents guaranteeing you transparency of what is inside, also the Viewer doesn't need to be installed as Windows creates all necessary registry entries itself, all cache and settings folders are created on startup by the Viewer. This gives one big disadvantage, the user has to uninstall the Viewer manually which needs quite a bit of basic knowledge ( SEE: 1.1 Uninstall )
To uninstall the Viewer you currently have to delete the Viewer folder, Cache folder and Settings folder manually, these are located in different locations, some of them only reachable with some basic knowledge.
Viewer directory is where you installed it, you can right-click -> preferences, check the path to find out where if you forgot it.
Cache directory is located here if not changed: C:\Users\PCUSERNAME\AppData\Local\BlackDragon
Settings directory is located here if not changed: C:\Users\PCUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\BlackDragon
You can get to the appdata folder either by enabling "show hidden folders" in your Windows explorer settings or by typing %APPDATA% into the search bar at the bottom of your Windows start menu and hitting enter.
Remove the 'BlackDragon' folder in all 3 locations and you should be fine, this procedure is also needed for a clean install.
