|1. How do i ...?Generally you do things almost identical to most other Viewers, except Firestorm. Firestorm is often a special case. As a rule of thumb, you do things the same way you were used to do them.
|1.1 My Avatar doesn't rotate like in other Viewers, what's up with that?In Black Dragon rotating is by default only bound to the letter keys Q and E. A (and Arrow Left) and D (and Arrow Right) have been rebound to moving.
You can change this behavior back to the default by navigating through the main menu (Dragon) to Edit - Preferences. In preferences click the Keybindings tab. Find the Third Person keybinds (first list) and select the actions labeled as Move Left and Move Right, they are bound to A and D or Arrow Left and Right, click Delete Selected when you selected all the binds you want to remove (preferably those that interfere with your desired choice of movement only). Now double-click the actions labeled as Turn Left or Turn Right and press your desired key for turning left or right. Hit Bind and repeat the same with the other one. If you've done everything right you'll move around just like in other Viewers.
Note: You can change any binding to whatever you want, this is not limited to the above example.
|1.2 What are good settings? There are no good settings, the defaults that come with this Viewer are already highly optimized to offer the best performance to quality ratio for most situations. From there on it is simply finetuning features like Depth of Field or Windlight to your liking depending on the scene.
|1.3 How do i hide my LookAt?See this official article on how to do it: Second Life - Show LookAt
|1.4 Where can i find this "Poser"?Navigate in the main menu (Dragon) to World - Animation Controls.
|1.5 Current Outfit tab doesn't display attachments, help?I'm aware of the issue, it has been like this ever since the last linden code merge, i'm doing my test trying to find out why it's not working. For the time being you can fix it temporarily by clicking the Search icon at the top and entering the name of your currently worn outfit, empty the search filter again and close the search, the Current Outfit tab should now display all attachments. I'll keep on trying to figure out what's happening.
|2. What hardware is (un)supported?Generally Intel graphic cards are a complete no-go. Laptops generally are equipped with these but often come with a dedicated graphic card that is not detected by the Viewer by default, you will have to go into the System Control Panel - NVidia Control Panel and find the dropdown box to set the desired graphic card to the NVidia High Performance Chip. No idea how its exactly done with AMD graphic cards, i'd have to google it just like you will have to.
|3. I need additional help, is there some sort of support? Not just some sort of support but the only support you'll get and coincidentally it's the best support you'll probably ever get. You contact me personally, either through my blog or preferably in world, it's even easier if you're using my Viewer. You can find my name at the very top in your Friendlist marked as DEVELOPER, otherwise look for NiranV Dean (Amethyst)[niranv.dean].
|4. I found a bug, where do i report it?Directly to me, either on my blog or again in world.
|4.1 I got a suggestion, where do i suggest it?Directly to me, either on my blog or again in world. Note that the Viewer is currently "feature complete", i will most likely not add more features unless it is something experimental and completely freaky i want myself, no one else has done or it's coming from Linden Labs. Features from other Viewers are generally declined, more so if it's coming from Firestorm. Think of how it would fit into a Viewer with a unique experience and focus on graphics.
|5. How do i uninstall the Viewer? To uninstall the Viewer you currently have to delete the Viewer folder, Cache folder and Settings folder manually, these are located in different locations, some of them only reachable with some basic knowledge.
Viewer directory is where you installed it, you can right click -> preferences on the desktop shortcut to check the path to find out where if you forgot it.
Cache directory is located here if not changed: C:\Users\PCUSERNAME\AppData\Local\BlackDragon
Settings directory is located here if not changed: C:\Users\PCUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\BlackDragon
You can get to the appdata folder either by enabling "show hidden folders" in your Windows explorer settings or by typing %APPDATA% into the search bar at the bottom of your Windows start menu and hitting enter.
Remove the BlackDragon folder in all 3 locations and you should be fine, this procedure is also needed for a clean install.
